RESUME

Pollen & Plants Co. is primarily a dynamic home to the resume of Leia Tilley, an environmental archaeologist in training specialising in the analysis of Charcoal and Pollen. It is also intended as a medium through which current research projects can be shared and questions about archaeological study can be asked informally.

MRes (Durham University) 2020-2021 --- 'Palynological Analysis of Potential for Lowland Scottish Iron Age Wild Harvesting Practice, Compared with Archaeobotanical Assemblage to suggest at Relationship/Extent of Wild Harvesting Practices and Community Focus/Sustainability'. BA Archaeology & Ancient History (Durham University) 2017-2020 --- 'Ling, Heather (Calluna Vulgaris) Ring-Count Potential as an Indicator of Extent/Nature of Peatland Environmental Management and Resource Utilisation, North Atlantic Scotland'. (Intended For Publication). 

 

GIS Training (Durham University) 2018 --- Provided by the EAMENA Group, volunteering is continuous and included the presentation of a Poster at the 2019 BANEA Conference. ''Desert Kites' Place and Relation in the Landscape'. To clarify this was my own research taken from EAMENA datasets. Palynological Training (Durham University 2020-2021 --- Currently engaging with this training, upon completeion of MRes, capability will included sample processing and analysis.

2017 (N/A) – (N/A) 2019 - Laidlaw Research And Leadership Scholarship.

Attended a leadership training course, with a gear towards academic leadership. Taught techniques such as professional networking, research plan construction, team cohesiveness, etc. RESEARCH PROJECT - 'Exploration of the Manyas Plain Agricultural System, Iron Age to Achaemenid, North-Western Turkey. With Particular Note of the Potentially Multi-Application of the Bitter Vetch (Vicia Ervilia) Crop'. (Intended For Publication).
